About the project

BudgetMuna is a personal money planner built around Filipino payday routines: track credit-card statements, set money aside in envelopes, and see balances and reports from the same accounting records. Its credit-card tools cover cut-off dates, installments, payments, and shared credit limits, while envelopes organize everyday needs and savings. The platform is preparing for launch, with early access available through its public site.

The product

Budget muna, bago swipe: plan before the next purchase. BudgetMuna brings cards, bills, budgets, and financial records together so users can see what is coming before payday and decide what their money needs to cover.

It is a planning and record-keeping product. Users record their own finances without connecting bank credentials or giving the platform access to move money. The screenshots shown here use fictional sample data.

Credit-card tracking

  • Statement cycles follow each card’s cut-off and payment due dates.
  • Installment purchases distribute monthly shares to the appropriate statements.
  • Payments link to their statements, with unpaid balances carried forward.
  • Shared credit lines show the available room across grouped cards.

Envelope budgeting and accounting

Income starts in Ready to Allocate. Users distribute it across envelopes for monthly spending, target balances, and savings goals, with unspent money remaining available across months.

Transactions post to two accounts. Balances, net worth, the balance sheet, and income statement draw from those same records rather than separate estimates. Receipt scanning lets users review itemized expenses before approving them.

Launch and product model

BudgetMuna is preparing for launch and already offers early access. Basic provides free core tools; Pro adds higher limits and planning features, with prepaid checkout handled by PayMongo.

The public roadmap distinguishes upcoming tools from available features. Loans, cash-flow planning, asset tracking, statement reconciliation, and CSV import are not presented here as shipped functionality.
